Well, people cannot help who they fall in love with!! I don’t think it is about Race, it is obviously about love. Being a black female, I find men in general attractive, not because they are black, white or whatever. I find that white men look at me and one even told that I was one of the sexiest females he had seen in a long time. I was flattered, considering I live in the South (born and raised in NY)!!! So Dave did not marry a Filipino, he married LOVE!! Get over it people!!

Damn you people are haters indeed. And you over complicate things. I’m a black male… And I’ve dated many a black girl… I love em. And I still do.. I’ve dated white chicks too. The relationships didn’t workout for whatever reasons. Now I’m currently dating a Chinese girl. I’m not rich… I certainly don’t hate my race, that would be like hating my mother. And she raised me single handed, I’m proud of her for that. She raised a dutiful son.
When I fell for my Chinese Fiancee I wasn’t even looking for a relationship. When i introduced her to my family and she was accepted as part of the family.
We supported eachother in hard times during our studies. She was a masters student and I was doing IT training at the time.
Now I’m a successful designer. Doing well for myself (but by no means rich) and I happen to be dating an asian. Is that because I hate myself and my race? I don’t need someone telling me that I have deep rooted fear of myself… Thats bulllshit. If my girl had black skin… I’d be just as happy. People always notice the differences before they see the person.
The college I attended was predominatly white middle class or Indian. I didn’t Think much about it. It just had the course i needed to progress in my career. I represent the any black man who wants to be happy and successful. If you find a the person that makes you happy, black white or whatever, you should hold on to them. I am proud to be black.. If I have children with my fiancee they will be proud of their black west-indian heritage, as well as their asian. If people want to be ignorant about it then its their problem.

The main thing I noticed was that his wife is not cute and has a smug stuck up looking smirk on her face. My sister in law is filipina; and I have a gorgeous nephew that looks like her and my brother so the race part didn’t matter to me.
By the way, as an educated Black woman I have no trouble w/Black mem dating “outside”. However, when I have dated a Jewish and Native American man-I never had so many vile looks from the brothers. My point is that high profile Blacks with high self-esteem choose their own. Those without issues they refuse or can not see stick within their race. And with the history of Black Americans, I think that is very relative and important.
Those with problems claim to have dated their own but for “some reason” it just doesn’t work out. Notice, they will say their Black family accepts their choice? But rarely do they mention the other family.
I don’t have to time to go into but if you are dating or marrying someone out of your race, Black people; it means you don’t fully accept yourself as Black and you secretly despise many things about the Black race; and the opposite Black sex.
