NEWS:WOMAN GIVES BIRTH TO BLACK AND WHITE TWINS

A woman in Germany has given birth to fraternal twin boys. The first baby named Ryan has lighter skin and blue eyes;the second twin is dark-skinned with brown eyes. The twins’ mother,Florence, who was born in Ghana,West Africa, gave birth to her Black and White twins on July 11th:

The twin boys, named Ryan and Leo, are the offspring of mixed-race couple Florence Addo-Gerth, from Ghana, and her German husband Stephan Gerth. The infants caused a sensation at the Sana Hospital in Lichtenberg, Germany, where they were born last Friday.Birgit Weber, the doctor who helped deliver the babies by ceasarean section, said that in 20 years of practice, this was the first time she had seen differently-coloured twins.“Ryan came first, and everything was as usual,” Fox News quoted Weber as saying.”But when Leo was born, I couldn’t believe my eyesThe infants caused a sensation at the Sana Hospital in Lichtenberg, Germany, where they were born last Friday.Birgit Weber, the doctor who helped deliver the babies by ceasarean section, said that in 20 years of practice, this was the first time she had seen differently-coloured twins.“Ryan came first, and everything was as usual,” Fox News quoted Weber as saying.”But when Leo was born, I couldn’t believe my eyes

  1. I’ve seen other stories with the same thing happening. They are adorable! You never can tell when, what and how those genes will come out!!

  2. Sorry, but the “white” twin doesn’t look white. Looks like a light-skinned hispanic or light-skinned black child. Babies usually darken as they age so don’t be surprised if the “white” twin looks different in the coming months. And any two parents who have the gene for blue eyes can produce a blue-eyed child. Look at Solange and her ex-husband. They have a blue-eyed son whose complexion is similar in tone to the twin pictured above. Does that make Solange’s son “white?”

I also find it curious how fluid the definition of “white” has become. The doctors and media automatically label the lighter- skinned child “white” just because he has a lighter skin tone and eye color than his brother. Yet the definition of “black” has become very rigid. According to some people, to be black you must look like Whoopi Goldberg or Shaq or the dark-skinned twin pictured above.

And perhaps those German doctors should travel to Brazil or Puerto Rico or maybe take a class in genetics. Due to the great genetic mixture within those populations it is not uncommon for Brazilian or Puerto Rican parents to have children that are phenotypically different from each other and even the parents. I saw a program on PBS a couple of years ago on the people of Brazil. The show featured a couple who had several children. Both parents had olive complexions. The mother had straight hair and the father had kinky-curly hair. Both had brown eyes. They had two teenage daughters–one had a complexion similar to Halle Berry, the other a complexion similar to Lisa Bonet’s oldest daughter. The dark-skinned daughter had kinky-curly hair like Tracee Ellis Ross. The other daughter had short kinky hair that she wore in a small afro. They had an infant son with blue eyes, olive skin, and straight brown hair. And two other children–a girl and boy–who had medium brown skin, brown eyes, and kinky-curly hair. The parents didn’t seemed fazed by the diversity within their own family. Yet these German doctors found it curious that an INTERRACIAL couple would have two sons that are phenotypically different from each other. My goodness, you can find a diversity in skin tone and grades of hair in African-American families. These German doctors and the media are late!

  3. This happened in London last year.DNA is amazing!!!!!

  4. I can see why the doctors were surprised. One would not expect a white German to have the genes necessary to produce such a dark skinned child. People tend to assume fair whites or dark blacks are 100% white/black. Blacks have been living in Germany for centuries, but the Germany isn’t the first to come to mind when thinking of genetically mixed populations like the above mentioned Brazil or Black America.

Did the doctors label the lighter twin “white”? The article says the doctor thought “everything was as usual” when Ryan was delivered. It seems like the media called him white for the contrast. “Woman gives birth to black and medium-brown skinned twins” isn’t as big of an attention grabber.

Either way though, they look like a happy family. I wish them all the best.

  5. awww bless ther little cotton socks :) as long as there healthy thats all that matters…there gorgeous!!!

  6. The White twin just looks light skinned to me!

  7. Basically what the others’ said… Black people come in all shades.

  8. The “white” twin does not looks white, but the “black” one does not look mixed. But that’s genetics for you.

  9. The lighter twin looks obviously mixed race, but the darker twin looks as if he has no obvious admixture. I’d say DNA testing is in order!

  10. Wow, I think that it wasn’t expected for the mother to have such a brown baby, with her white husband. She most really have strong dominant genes. Both babies are adorable and I really don’t care what color they are. I wish her and the family the best.

  11. O.K. they are a Weird looking couple I’m sorry. More so the wife too…and the little “black” one is weird looking as well. God bless them but I just had to state the obvious!

  12. To BLACK, Solange son eyes are grey not blue,

  13. LOL.. I was just thinking that both parents look weird LMAO..

I am going to tell you this, The light one will get darker and the dark one will change in features. They are both cute little guys.

As for the two girls in England where one looks black and one white, the white looking one actually has black features, it is just that she is very light, but if you look at her hair, it is very curly. And the darker one was actually darker than both parents.. LOL

    Here are the above twins

  14. Here is a real set of black and white from Australia

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article68181.ece

  15. Shango the girls are to cute. The so called black baby looks mixed but the white really looks white. As far as the couple up top. I have to say I appreciate that you guys were being nice but lets face facts. That woman is ugly. I am sorry but she is. However she could be the sweetest person. My opinion has nothing to do with her being a dark skin black woman just her face. LOL. God for

  16. God forgive me.

  17. LOL, Maryamb419, I love your honesty, the mother is funny looking.

  18. WEIRD LOOKING FAMILY BUT INA GOOD WAY

  19. Just goes to show that not all mixed babies are…um………

  20. It can happen if the mother is black, and the father is white, or the other way around, you can have a light skin and a dark skin baby.

  21. usually a fully white looking child is likely in twin births if one or both parents are mixed race.

  22. @ maryamb419,

I don’t think the wife is ugly, she just has a broad nose. She just had babies, so some of the baby weight is still on her face.

I actually saw another picture of the twins and they are really cute.
They are babies, once they grow into themselves, they’ll be gorgeous.

  23. usually a fully white looking child is likely in twin births if one or both parents are mixed race. I’m still not convinced that the darker skinned baby is of mixed race parentage, however, Sandra Laing never looked like she could be related to either of her birth parents either.

  24. hmm I guess jenny on the jeffersons really was mixed. and so was chicken george from roots

  25. What do their shirts say??????

  26. @MACIE

Their shirts say, “I was born in Oskar!”…go figure.

  27. @maryamb419 and steffy

…y’all are so rude. How does, “stating the obvious” benefit you? I wouldn’t consider either of you pretty (FAR from it with those attitudes)…

So, if you don’t have anything nice to say…(say it with me)…don’t say anything at all.

  28. Half of you just type because you can. Why isn’t the darker one the man’s child? There is another picture of them and the darker one isn’t all that dark and he favors the other one.

Children change. They look one way now and in a year, their skin color and hair texture change.

And as for only mixed race having fully white children, that is a joke. THere are many cases where a fully black woman or man have fully white looking children.

The only difference is that it doesn’t happen all the time on one family. You will tend to have variations with every child added.

  29. I’ve heard of this happening before…I was amazed when I first heard something like this but now it’s like…ok great. It just goes to show how related we are regardless of the boundaries we set around each other…the husband probably has some black bkground he didn’t know about or something like that…

  31. Nai ja if you let my opinion of the way I think the woman looks mean to you that I have a nasty attitude then so be it. I also said that she may be one of the sweetest people you may ever meet(is this not nice). It’s amazing how you chose not to see that. What makes your attitude any better than mine? At least I didn’t judge her like you judge me. I just said I thought she was ugly. I still do. Does that make me a bad person with a nasty attitude. Probably to you, to me it makes me honest.

I think it would also be fair of me to state that because you seem to have taken what we said personally someone may have made you feel unattractive. Also I will say you are speaking out of both sides of your mouth. On one hand you say if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all. Then on the other hand you say we have bad attitudes when you don’t know either of us or anything of our character.

  32. I don’t get what all the wonder and amazement is about. They’re twins, but obviously fraternal as opposed to identical.

  33. Both of these babies look Black…like African-American Black, not African Black.

  34. What is African black and African American black?

Those kids may as well be born in Africa. Not all Africans or black people in Africa are blue black with very course hair. There are very dark ones with different texture hair as well as light ones with coiurser hair.

Please TRAVEL to Africa (different countries/tribes, etc.) and you will stop making these Jim Crow statements.
I have seen South Africans that look Asian with kinky hair and people from Sudan that look indian that are not. So please stop the ignorance..

  35. Check out this link….here you can really see the color difference between the twins…this is another couple.

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article68181.ece

  36. I grew up with some twins they should be about 42 now they are both from black parents one sister is dark skin and the other is light.

  37. @ maryamb419

Well, I guess that we are both ugly creatures with destructive opinions. The only difference is that I judged you based on fact (you proved that you have an ugly attitude with your comment towards her looks-that was in response to you saying that “you don’t know either of us or anything of our character” did you not show your ugly character there?) where as you based your opinions on assumptions.

You still think she is ugly and I still think that your personality sucks.

I always say, first impressions last forever…a bad impression is harder to work out of while a good impression is hard to smudge. You already dug your own grave with your initial statement and stating that she may be a “sweet person” was a weak attempt at covering up your own smelly s**t…You can dab perfume on crap all you want but it will always smell like crap…

  38. Well as long as you are willing to admit that your attitude sucks and your personality as well I ain’t mad at you. How did you get a destructive opinion from what I said. You can speak for yourself on that one.

Just like it is “your” opinion that my personality sucks because I think the lady is unattractive that your opinion. Just like it is my opinion that she not attractive to me. If what I find appealing to me or repulsive for that matter has nothing to do with my personality and if you think then my first impression of you is not very high. Say for instant you have on some of that perfumed fragrance shit you spoke in your last post. If you are wearing you find it appealing to you. However if I catch a whiff of and I say I don’t like it, does that make me a bad person?

It’s all in perspective. You said because I stated I thought the lady was ugly that my attitude is bad. I feel like it’s all in the way you look at it. What about the people that said the family looks weird? Does that mean the are bad people? Or does that mean to them the family looks weird? Everyone has things they like or don’t like just because their opinions may not agree with your doesn’t it make it bad or wrong just different. So I suppose she is attractive to you? If you do I don’t think you are blind I just think you have a different standard of beauty than I do.

How is your attitude any different than a racist? They think because the color of someone’s skin that the person has whatever bad qualities that goes with their belief system that would keep them from getting to know that person. Instead giving them the benefit of the doubt and trying to see if the beliefs they have are true are false.

My opinion of you could be wrong or could be very astute. To me it seems like a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

  39. @naija gol

i think ‘oskar’ is the (nick-)name of the hospital/clinic where they were born.

  40. @Naija Gal
Wow, I’m just surprised that you took that comment to heart like that. I still feel the same way, the woman is funny looking. You can call me rude but so be it. It puzzles me on why you would single maryamb419 and I out. Other people have made similar comments as well. You really contradicted yourself as well, remember it was you who said “So, if you don’t have anything nice to say…(say it with me)…don’t say anything at all”. What you said wasn’t nice at all. But I refuse to entertain you any longer. Hope all is well with everyone. I love Black Celebrity Kids.

  41. Yall are hilarious on this site. It’s funny that people can’t voice their opinions without being attacked by someone who begs to differ. That woman is not cute. Anyone who thinks differently probably looks like her and/or loves someone who looks like her. Anywayz, maryamb419 is a dushbag. hehe.

  42. O and for those who don’t know why maryamb419 is a dushbag (aside from the obvious) she condemns people for having opinions that differ from hers but can’t take it dished to her. She must think her opinions reign supreme and should be impervious from attack when she attacks others….I guess…lol

  43. @Naija Gal
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I just seen your pic on Bossip and your name is african_4_eva. Are you African? Did you get offended because the woman was African and we made negative comments about her appearance? If so, you made the wrong assumption. I could care less if the woman was Asian, White or etc… If she’s funny looking to me, then it is what it is. @Not Buying It, I totally agree with you.

  44. Opps, I agree with the comment about people being able to express their opinions.

  45. @Not Buying It

THANK YOU!!!! Unfortunately, Ms. Maryamb419 fails to see that…oh what a horrible web she weaves.

  46. @ Steffie

Oh, you’re back…if I recall, I remember you saying, “…I refuse to entertain you any longer.”

    I guess you couldn’t resist.

Anyway, to answer your ignorant question. Yes, that is me and I am 100% Nigerian (hence the name Naija Gal and african_4_eva).

Florence Addo-Gerth being African has nothing to do with me being offended. Ladies, like you, who refuse to look beyond her physical appearance is what I find to be offensive. No matter what, you are presenting yourself to be a shallow individual…and that, my sistah, stanks!! (not stinks, but STANKS)

Even Ms. Maryamb419 knew that she was at fault: “God forgive me.”
-14th post from the top AFTER making her initial comment-

So, Ms. Steffie…please, go back to your little corner, regroup and come back when you are ready to have a real conversation.
    ——————————————————————

    @Maryamb419

…I didn’t think you could do it BUT you did…congrats on making yet ANOTHER weak a$$ arguement. Racist?! Honey, here is the definition of a racist…are you ready?:

Racism, by its simplest definition, is discrimination based on the racial groups to which people belong. People with racist beliefs might hate certain groups of people according to their racial groups. In the case of institutional racism, certain racial groups may be denied rights or benefits, or get preferential treatment. Racism typically points out taxonomic differences between different groups of people, even though anybody can be racialised, independently of their somatic differences. According to the United Nations conventions, there is no distinction between the term racial discrimination and ethnic discrimination. (thank you wikipedia)

Clearly, having nothing to do with the current arguement…thus, having no relation to me.

Okay, here is the definition of one who is superficial-you- (shallow), ready?:

Superficial is a general term meaning “regarding the surface”, often metaphorically. Both in the literal as in the metaphorical sense the term has often a negative connotation based on the idea that deeper parts are also important to consider…A person who exhibits a “superficial” comprehension of some or many subjects may be negatively attributed as being shallow, materialistic, and even exhibiting false emotions through an exaggerated affect display. Occasionally they may be pseudointellectual. (thanks wiki)….Ms. Maryamb419 all the WAY!!!

By the way, you may need to join Steffie in the corner as well. I’m sure you two would have great conversations.

    Thank you.

  47. That is hilarious two of the most cynical and closed minded people would agree on something. ROTFL. LOL

First of all Not buying it you are to funny. I know you are trying to bait me. Not only am I not trying to force my opinions on other. When did I condemn anyone for not agreeing with me. All is ask is for one example if you have two that’s even better.

Second of all of if you try and bait someone at least spell your barbs the right way. LOL It’s spelled douche bag. Seeing as how you are one I would think you would know how to spell it. There goes that theory.LOL

  48. I should have none Naija Gal was Nigerian. That self important air is all around your statement. The fact that I said she may be the sweetest person meant that her surface was not the only thing that was important. That seems to be what you picked out of everything we said. It’s not my fault you are Nigerian. It’s not my fault you got teased in school because you probably favor the lady in the pic. The fact that you took it personally speaks volumes. I sorry for whatever pain you may have felt because I said I didn’t think the lady was pretty. If you favor her in anyway then I can say I understand your angst but you can’t go preaching and being self-righteous because I don’t get all hot & sweaty for that broad nose and milky eye look.

I didn’t mean it literally obviously the way you took it are you would not have taken the time to go to m-w.com to find the definition. I don’t know if that is for your benefit or mine. When I said how are you any different than a racist I meant due to your close mindedness. Hopefully that is not to much for you to digest. Maybe I should call my sis in law and have her break it down to you. Since both of you obviously have the broad nose so far up in the air you can’t see things for anyone’s perspectives but your own. Be careful with those huge nostrils in the air you might suck up more than you bargain for.LOL

  49. maryamb419= dushbag (btw, she can tell you how to spell it properly too if you ask her)…hehe

  50. It takes one to know one. HeHe. I see you didn’t have any ready examples. That is just another example of you speaking out of your nether regions. LOL That’s why you make a perfect douche bag. Because you have some much personal experience with that area, seeing as though you always speak from a** what better person than you to be a douche bag. You are perfect for the position.

Just so you know I loved playing the dozens growing up so I am all for bantering and barbs. LOL

  51. @Maryamb419

Again, congrats on making yourself look like a buffoon.

Clearly, everyone can read and see who the real idiot is. You seem educated but after reading your last post, I would beg to differ.

Yes, you should have KNOWN (I see that you didn’t use spell check in the first half of your post) that I was Nigerian…better yet, take a glance at my Myspace.com/african_4_eva…you’ll get all the BROAD-NOSED, MILKY EYED, SWEATY AFRICAN-NESS that you can handle…

…and are you foolish enough to bag on your own family member? Please, invite your broad-nosed sister-in-law…we could probably educate you on the importance of looking beyond the surface.

Oh, don’t forget…you wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for your “broad-nosed, big nostriled, milky eyed ancestors” my sistah, you and I are one-in-the-same…

I wonder if they are looking down at you from the heavens and shaking their heads at your ignorance.

Now, go back to your corner…

  52. maryamb..you know what you said. If you really think I’m going to scroll through the various posts to find your crude remarks, you’re sadly mistaken. Others agree on this post because they’ve read what you’ve said regarding this article and others that was judgemental; embrace your hypocracy (now check the spelling on that, while you’re at it, spell check your posts)…hehe

  53. Further, why are you even talking, aren’t you supposed to be in a corner or something?!?

  54. I co-sign with Not Buying It…

  55. Whatever….. Naija. I cracked on my sister in law the same as I cracked on you because she to like you has this self-importance( an exaggerated estimate of one’s own importance) complex as you. As well as most of the Nigerian people I have come in contact with. Also what’s with them all claiming to be princesses and princes? Care to explain. It’s amazing how African look down on African-Americans. Especially given the fact that they were the ones selling us off to slavery in the first place.

Yes I grew up with family member that had broad noses like you and my ancestors. The difference between them and you however Naija is that the we very nurturing and down to earth and that to me made them beautiful. The weren’t full of themselves and they taught me to cherish each day because no one is promised tomorrow. Just because we have something today don’t mean it will be there tomorrow.

in spite of the fact that I said she was ugly to me I have a depth that you would never get the pleasure to experience because you have deemed me unworthy of your presence. Either way it does not make me any never mind because at the end of the day. I have a beautiful happy and healthy family. A husband that loves me and lots of friends that think the world of me. So I don’t need you or Not buying it’s acceptance. I accept myself and all my flaws and Jesus does to.

When it comes down to it the lord knows my heart and that’s all that’s all that matters to me.

  56. Not buying you don’t have to scroll through all most post to get crude remarks all you have to do is read yours. LOL

  57. NaiJa I checked out your myspace page and I didn’t see any of the things you described. I am still at a lose why you took me saying i thought the lady was ugly personally. At no way was I was my comment directed at you. The only thing that makes sense to me is that you feel insecure. I didn’t mean to offend you are anyone for that matter. I was just stating my truth. You can’t take that from me. Does she being unattractive take anything else from her no. You however seem to think so.

Truth be told. I never like being pretty. Because women were always catty and I would get way more male attention than I wanted. Does my being at a different standard of beauty that the lady mentioned above make me any better than anyone else? No. No matter what you have, what your talents are, no matter what you look like. Everyone is flawed in someway.

  58. @Mary

Thank you so much for guilty plea.

I see that you are winding down and tiring out. (There you go again with those grammical errors…)

    1. Princess and Prince?! Where did you see that?

Again, you are distancing yourself from others by making yourself unapproachable with your superficial comments…everyone (besides Steffie) can see that…

Like I said earlier, we are one-in-the-same…my African family raised all of us to live everyday as if it were our last, nurture and lift ourselves and others around us up (just like yours)…not tear each other down…like you.

Maybe you need to run into some more Africans…because you are the one acting like a bigot…discriminating against others and relying on fabricated beliefs against an ethnicity (…”As well as most of the Nigerian people I have come in contact with. Also what’s with them all claiming to be princesses and princes? Care to explain. It’s amazing how African look down on African-Americans.”)

Deep down, you’re AFRICAN and you can never, ever run from that…ever.

Do you have children? I had to ask.

Anyway, peace be with you my broad-nosed, milky eyed sistah…

…from another broad-nosed, milky eyed sistah.

  59. I forgot to mention you are quite stunning yourself. So what is your deal?

  60. The reason I said what I did about the African I met is because that is my truth. All of the Nigerians I have met have come off as mightier than thou. They have good qualities. I love how my sister in law takes care of her family back home. I have a few friends that are married to Nigerians so I am around them all the time. My friends say they love the way the women take care of family, but they are hard to be around because the are very condescending.

As far as my grammatical errors as long as you get my meaning is my only concern. I never liked language arts in school I thought it was boring as hell. I excelled in anything I found challenging. Math and Science were my strong points.

I have four beautiful kids and I am a stay at home mom.

  61. So people can’t correct your grammtical errors but you can correct others spelling errors? Hmmm..the ways of a hypocrite….

  62. Nope I didn’t say they couldn’t correct them. I said I didn’t care if I made them as long as my meaning came across. Why you so worried about my grammatical errors you should work on reading comprehension. I cause you don’t know what that means. It means understanding what you read. If not seeking understanding. Next time ask what I meant instead of putting words in my mouth.

  63. I don’t have time to read all of the above posts due to outside obligations, but I have to say that’s its disappointing that this conversation has dissolved into such a display of racial animus. I mean can’t people expression their opinions without others labeling them “Whoopi” and “broad nosed, milky eyed.” I am assuming that most of us who post on this site are of African descent, so why such hatred towards one another. I don’t mean to interfere, and I’m not trying to take sides, I just think its sad that some of the people who post on this site have nothing better to do than argue and insult other posters. Intelligent debate is one thing. Purposely making deragatory remarks in the absence of cogent arguments is another. Hopefully things will cool down soon.

    Peace :)

P.S. If I made spelling errors, so be it. I’m in a rush.

  64. To all my fellow posters, I apologize if I have offended any of you. It’s just bothers me that someone feels that they can tell me how I need to feel or see things. To be honest, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. What may be beautiful to you may be another thing to me. My field of work is politics and we agree and disagree constantly. But my colleagues, peers and I still continue to respect one another. Even though a fellow blogger has decided to resort to name calling, I’m going to be the bigger person. I’m not going to judge her by her comments. Much love to all my fellow posters. @black I loved your post.

  65. Mud duck, I mean Maryamb419, I feel sorry for ur kids and ur husbnd whose sister u insulted on here. Not only are u super hypocritical but ur also very ugly (surely on the inside and probably on the exterior as well). Ur also boring me so why don’t u shut up and go sit down somewhere.

  66. @Naija Gal

THANKYOU FOR TELLING Maryamb419 THE TRUTH,you are awesome. How the woman looks has nothing to do with anything.People are so hateful, Maryamb419 hasn’t told ‘the truth’ it was her opinion and one she should keep to herself.

  67. -maryamb419 WTF.

“Truth be told. I never like being pretty. Because women were always catty and I would get way more male attention than I wanted. Does my being at a different standard of beauty that the lady mentioned above make me any better than anyone else?”

—Homegirl is having a laugh.I’d really like to see a picture of you.I bet you’re not half as pretty as you think you are. That’s not an attack, that’s me just the’telling the truth’.

  68. When I said sister in law I didn’t mean my husband’s sister. He doesn’t have one. There you go making more bad assumptions. To whatever else you said it is falling on deaf ears. I agree with black and Steffie. I am and always will be entitled to my opinion. I am sorry that I let my ghetto side emerge. I will no longer go back and forth with you Not buying it.

To any and all I offended with my opinion. That was not my intention. I do apologize. I am a mature woman most of the time and I just got defensive because I felt the need to be.

For future reference I think highly of you Naiji for defending someone you don’t even know. I just didn’t agree with the way you did it. You get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. If you want to question my opinion I am all for that, I just don’t appreciate the insults. If you came to me and ask me if what I said was necessary instead of saying I have a bad attitude and that I was being rude.

    When ARROZ CON POLLO
made this statement it made me rethink my opinion.
    @ maryamb419,

I don’t think the wife is ugly, she just has a broad nose. She just had babies, so some of the baby weight is still on her face

When you said this y’all are so rude. How does, “stating the obvious” benefit you? I wouldn’t consider either of you pretty (FAR from it with those attitudes)… it made me mad so it was counter productive.

  69. Hera to you I say good day sir. If you haven’t noticed I have a pic of me in my post. That’s all I have to say to you that and refer to my previous post. It’s a right way and a wrong way to do everything. If you are trying to get someone to see the light you are going about it the wrong way.

  70. You are telling “your truth” “your opinion” Why should I have to keep mine to myself when you don’t.

  71. Speaking of Hera where is your picture?

  72. For those of you who are curious. You can see my handsome husband ,me and my children here.

Do I have faults? Yep Who doesn’t? Do I have things about the way I look I would like to change yes. I have had four kids and I need to tone up. The faults I am aware of I talk more than I listen, I can be selfish at times, I need to work on having more tact. I need to work on being more patient. I need to learn how to better manage money. I can be shallow at times. Thing is I can admit it. Can you? He who is without sin may cast the first stone. My good points. I am very giving. I read to my kids before I put them to bed at night. I am a great cook(born and raised in Louisiana). I can draw very good( still have a lot to learn). I can sing pretty good. I have a few talent shows under my belt. I am ambitious( I have lots of goals I have set for myself. One of them I have met. I got my dream home.( At least it was until I realized how much of it I have now to clean. I am very witty and easy going unless I am rubbed the wrong way. I will do anything for the people I love. I am a risk taker which can be bad as can be good. The thing I like best about me is that although from time to time I wear fake hair but I never put on airs. I am who I am love me or hate it won’t change unless I feel the need for personal growth.

  73. Hera, I too peeped the hella conceited remarks Maryamb419 made regarding her looks. But I disregarded them bc it sounded like a case of dilusion… Thinking she gets shit from women bc of her looks when really its bc of her snotty personality. Her picture confirms my theory. Chil is merely average but her personality is way below. So that means shawty is a 4…

  74. To Not buying it I say good day sir. Later for you. To someone that does not know me I am sure the remarks I made concerning my looks it may seem conceited. For people who knows me know other wise.

The reason I said what I did about not liking being pretty growing up was because I started getting unwanted sexual attention from boys starting at the age of 4-5. On the playground and in my neighborhood. I was raped from the age of 16-21. As far a women being catty. The friends I had growing up all of their boyfriends at some point or another hit on me. I told them about it and they took the guys side and stop talking to me. This is my reality is it because I was pretty I don’t know but when I was a kid it what I felt and thought. I remember one time this boy kiss me and I didn’t want him to and I bite him and I ended up getting a paddling because I tried to defend myself. However I don’t expect you to understand. How can you? You are only seeing the surface of what I am saying instead trying to see my point of view. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.

just because I said somethings you feel I shouldn’t have. It doesn’t make me a bad person. You don’t even know me. I am not stating any of this because I am trying to justify anything to you Not buying it or Hera I just didn’t want the other board members to get the wrong idea.

  75. maryamb, you’re right, I don’t know you. Perhaps I shouldn’t judge. But hopefully you’ll see that you did quite a bit of judging yourself, which caused a lot of the defensiveness on this board to begin with.

Hearing a bit of your story and checking out your pics online made me check myself (btw you have a beatuiful family) and reminded me of why I am on this site to begin with. It’s not to argue back and forth with other viewers on this site; instead it’s to marvel at the beauty of the black family.

    Peace…

  76. i d0N’T THiNK THE 0THER 0NE iS WHiTE . HE L00K MiX bUT THEY ARE SUCH CUTiES .. W0W, i’M SH0CKEd T00

  77. Thank you Not Buying it. I forgot to mention at times I can be judgmental. I doesn’t make it ok. However the first step to solving a problem is to admit you have one. I didn’t realize how much all those things I mentioned in my last post still effected me. After I posted I cried like a baby. Now I feel better and I feel blessed because seeing it in writing helps me see how far I have come after I have been through.

  78. Geez, thats a lot of talking people. The womans not even ugly, theyre a weird looking couple i grant you that but i always say that with most black men who go for white women they ‘usually’ have a very uniform type. before y’all jump down my throat, im just going on where i live where approx 99% of black men (inc all of my family) who are with white women are with blondes who generally look the same. But damn you can never judge the kind of white dude a sister will end up with.
But back to the topic, those babies are damn cute as hell. The ‘black’ one is dark for sure, but i see plenty of mixed kids who i’d swear are black. As for the ‘white one’ please, he doesnt even look white he looks how you’d expect a mixed baby to generally look. they were going for a sensational headline for sure. There was another case with 2 mixed race people having twins where one was pure white blue eyes and one black.
    http://www.hoax-slayer.com/images/black-white-twins2.jpg
and the comment way up top about the difference with the african black and african american black cracked me up. Im mixed race, i live in Nigeria (how far naija girl?) and ive seen all kinds of skin tones, including dark people with bright blue eyes. Ive seen people lighter than me and they live and work in blazing sun so should they hit a cold climate people might think theyre white.

  79. HMMM, Now I am in an interracial marriage and I know my husband would question paternity if our child looked like the darker baby. They are both beautiful, but I personally have never seen a biracial newborn that dark. Please, before you attack me, I am not saying anything is “wrong” with a beautiful dark complexion, just that it’s unusual in this circumstance. I also agree that the other one does NOT look white!

  80. Another example of how black parents genes vary check out Victoria Rowells children. They have different fathers but same mother.

    http://blackcelebkids.com/2008/05/19/victoria-rowell-and-kids-at-tea-party/#comments

  81. Yeah victoria rowells kids are good example, but what about karyn parsons? I mean wow her daughters white, even whiter than the dad. And her son does look darker skinned. Its weird but i find when its like a mixed race parent with a white parent, if the mixed race person is dark skinned, their baby comes out really white. But ive seen light skinned mixed race people with white partners whos kids are darker than them. you just never know how those genes are gonna blend do you. thats what makes life a nice variety

  82. i just look at those babies and think theyre damn cute and i want them. How can one twin have a different parent that doesnt make any sense. I know it happened in holland, that was nasty but that was IVf, where one twin was the mom and dads and one twin that came out brown was created using the sperm of the wrong guy, now thats got to be rough.

  83. Beauty is only skin deep….

This is a beautiful couple that had beautiful twins!! May God bless their children to grow up healthy and strong no matter what color they are! Black people come in all shades…and they are all Beautiful!!

  84. IM SORRY….THIS IS FREEDOM OF SPEECH…ONE BABY IS HIS & ONE IS NOT….DNA IS IN DEMAND. HAVING SEX WITH 2 MEN WITHIN 24 HRS CAN ALSO CAUSE THIS EFFECT. DONT TAKE IT PERSONAL

  85. Fredrick Douglas was half white and so was roy campanella, and both of those brothers were dark.Black people come in all shades that is great.

  86. Hey, the photo towards the top of this website publish is packing a little weird to me? I attempted sending an email however it bounced again.
